Background
A software company based in the Northern Suburbs of Cape Town is seeking a creative Intermediate Web Developer. With the focus more on web development than web design. They are looking for a candidate with 3 – 5 years’ experience in web development/design. The successful candidate must be deadline driven and can work in a team. This position in office based and the successful candidate must already be based in Cape Town.
This position is office based in the Northern Suburbs. They are willing to train the candidate where necessary, however a few basic requirements are needed.
The successful candidate will:
- Create new websites from scratch.
- Redesign existing websites.
- Debug WordPress issues.
- Assist colleagues with work.
Requirements (include but not limited to):
- Advanced English level.
- At least 3-5 years of WordPress experience as a Web Designer.
- Knowledge of WordPress and how it works.
- Be able to edit or mock-up designs in Adobe Photoshop/Figma.
- HTML/CSS experience or basic knowledge required.
- Minimal layout skills.
- Knowledge of Mobile and Tablet Responsiveness.
- Some knowledge of SEO.
- Current UI/UX standards.
- Eye for detail.
- Ability to want to learn and improve yourself.
